MDCAT 2026: Senate Panel Orders Inquiry Into Sindh Results as Students Move High Court
The MDCAT 2026 in Sindh is under scrutiny. The Senate Standing Committee on National Health has ordered an inquiry into how the exam was conducted and how results were prepared, particularly in Karachi. Separately, ten candidates have filed a petition in the Sindh High Court (SHC) over the question paper and answer keys.
What the Senate committee ordered
The committee directed the Ministry of National Health Services to set up an “empowered and independent inquiry committee” in coordination with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the Sindh government.
Students’ complaints
- Candidates were not allowed to keep the question paper, which made it hard to check answers
- Alleged errors in the published answer keys
- A lack of transparency in reviewing questions and answers
What the court said
In the Sindh High Court, Justice Saleem Jaisar sought replies from the respondents by 10 November 2026. However, the court did not stop preparation of the merit list. It noted that the list could be changed later if the petitioners win the case.
