The last date of ehsaas scholarship extended to 30 November 2020 for phase II of ehsaas undergraduate program 2020. Previously the last date of ehsaas scholarship was 30 October 2020 but seeing the vast interest of students who are interested in ehsaas scholarship the last date is extended to 30 November 2020.
Ehsas scholarship program offers reimbursement of tuition fees for the students who have got admission to any public university in an undergraduate program in the spring or fall semester 2020. This ehsas scholarship will be provided for the 4 years or 5 years of undergraduate program students. Ehsas scholarship also covers the stipend for the said period of 4 or 5 years, undergraduate program students.
In the beginning, ehsas scholarship was to provide 50000 students but as it goes on this scholarship will be provided up to two lakh students enrolled in public universities across the country.
Taking into account the idea that most people get their jobs after completion of their undergraduate Government of Pakistan plans to provide scholarships to the students so that most poor could avail the opportunity to get admission and keep studying and get jobs.
Also according to some stats that most of the students are unable to get admission due to poverty after their intermediate or higher secondary education. It’s said that only 0.4 percent of students get admission to universities after higher secondary education. To encourage more admissions of students who complete their higher secondary level education Government of Pakistan is providing ehsas scholarship to those who can’t afford a university education.
Such students will be eligible for ehsas scholarship program who have got admission to the public university.
Students whose family income is less than 45000 per month.
Such students may avail of the ehsas scholarship who have got admission on merit.
Students who are doing their degree program in regulars programs of a university recognized by the Higher education commission will be eligible for ehsas scholarship.
No student will be eligible for ehsas scholarship who is doing a distance learning program.
Such students will also be ineligible for ehsas scholarship who have got admission to evening programs.
Students who are availing of any other scholarship will also be ineligible for ehsas scholarship.
Students enrolled in private universities or doing any affiliate degree will also be ineligible for ehsas undergraduate scholarship program.
Those are also ineligible who are studying on self finance.
How to apply for ehsas scholarship
Students may apply online through the Higher education commission’s website and after the online application process, they have to submit the following documents to their relevant department.
- Copy of CNIC or B.Farm
- Copy of CNIC of the father, mother, or guardian.
- Proof of income of the father, mother, or guardian.
- Utility bills’ copies for the last six months.
- Rent agreement if the family is living on rent.
- Copy of fee receipts of applicant and siblings.
- One photograph of the applicant
- One photograph of the front side of the house.
