About this course
Content major courses build your subject knowledge in English, the subject you will specialise in teaching. This book follows AIOU’s unit-based format: each unit starts with objectives, explains the topic step by step, and ends with self-assessment questions. Read the objectives first; they tell you exactly what the exam and assignments expect.
How to use this book for assignments and exams
- Check your assignment questions first, then read only the units they cover in depth.
- Answer in your own words. AIOU tutors penalise copied text, including copied solved assignments.
- Make one-page notes per unit with key definitions, points and examples.
- Practise the self-assessment questions at the end of each unit. Exam questions are often similar.
- Submit on time through Aaghi LMS. See our assignment submission guide.
