How to Check Your FBISE Result: Online, by SMS 5050 and Gazette

Three ways to check

  • Online: fbise.edu.pk → Results
  • SMS: type FB <space> roll number and send to 5050
  • Gazette: download the official PDF and search for your roll number

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) conducts SSC (matric) and HSSC (intermediate) exams for Islamabad, federal areas, cantonment schools and many schools abroad. When results are announced, the website gets very busy, so it helps to know every method.

Method 1: Check online

  1. Go to www.fbise.edu.pk.
  2. Click Results.
  3. Select the correct exam, for example SSC Part-I Annual Examination or HSSC Part-II Annual Examination.
  4. Enter your roll number and submit.
  5. Your subject-wise marks or grades and overall result will appear. Save a screenshot or print the page.

Method 2: Check by SMS

No internet? Use SMS:

  1. Open your messaging app.
  2. Type FB, a space, and your roll number. Example: FB 1234567
  3. Send it to 5050.

Standard SMS charges apply. On result day the SMS service may be slow, so wait a few minutes before sending again.

Method 3: Result gazette

FBISE publishes a result gazette (PDF) for each exam. Download it from the official website, open it, and press Ctrl + F to search for your roll number or name. Schools find this useful for checking many students at once, and it helps if you have lost your roll number slip.

Lost your roll number?

  • Check your admit card or the roll number slip email/SMS you received.
  • Ask your school or institution, which has a record of all candidates.
  • Search the gazette by name.

Not happy with your result?

FBISE allows candidates to apply for rechecking within a set period after the result, for a fee per paper. Rechecking usually covers whether all answers were marked and whether totals were added correctly. Check the exact deadline and fee on the FBISE website as soon as results come out.

Next steps after matric or inter

  • Explore admissions in colleges and universities
  • Start preparing for entry tests such as MDCAT, ECAT or NUST NET
  • Look at scholarships for your next level of study
