How to Submit AIOU Assignments Online on Aaghi LMS: Step-by-Step Guide

Before you start

  • Log in to Aaghi LMS from the AIOU website using your student credentials
  • Prepare each assignment as a single, clear PDF
  • Upload before the cut-off date shown for each course

AIOU students now submit assignments online through Aaghi LMS, the university’s learning management system. Submitting on time and in the right format is important, because assignments count towards your final grade and you cannot sit the final exam without them in most programmes.

Step 1: Log in to Aaghi LMS

  1. Open the AIOU website and click the Aaghi LMS link.
  2. Enter your username (usually your user ID or roll number details given at admission) and password.
  3. If you have forgotten your password, use the reset option with your registered email or mobile number.

Step 2: Prepare your assignment

  • Write neatly or type your assignment, following the instructions in the assignment booklet.
  • Add a title page with your name, roll number, course code, semester and assignment number.
  • Scan pages with a phone scanner app (such as Adobe Scan or Microsoft Lens) in good light.
  • Combine all pages into one PDF per assignment and check the file size limit shown on the LMS.
  • Name the file clearly, for example 8601_Assignment1_RollNo.pdf.

Step 3: Upload

  1. On the dashboard, open the course (for example 8601 or 8602).
  2. Click the Assignment link (Assignment No. 1, 2, and so on).
  3. Click Add submission, then drag and drop your PDF or browse to select it.
  4. Click Save changes. If there is a Submit or confirmation button, click it as well.
  5. Check that the status shows Submitted for grading.

Step 4: Check marks and feedback

After your tutor marks the assignment, the grade and comments appear on the same assignment page. Download feedback to help you prepare for the final exam.

Common problems and fixes

Problem What to do
File too large Compress the PDF or scan at a lower resolution.
Course not showing Your admission or course registration may not be updated. Contact your regional office.
Uploaded the wrong file If editing is still allowed, open the submission, remove the file and upload the correct one before the deadline.
Website not loading near the deadline Upload early. The portal gets very busy in the last 48 hours.

Important rules

  • Do your own work. Copied assignments can be given zero marks.
  • Follow the assignment schedule for your semester. Late submissions may not be accepted.
  • Keep a copy of every file you upload.
