Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has extended its Autumn 2026 admission deadline to 6 October 2026. Applications in the extended period are accepted with a late fee. If you missed the earlier dates, this is your last chance to join this semester.

AIOU offers most programmes through Open Distance Learning (ODL), so you can study from home while working. Selected programmes are offered face to face.

How to apply online, step by step
- Go to the AIOU Online Admission System from aiou.edu.pk.
- Fresh students: create an account with your CNIC/B-Form, mobile number and email. Continuing students: log in with your existing details.
- Choose your programme, courses and region (the regional campus nearest to you).
- Fill in your personal and academic details carefully. Spelling must match your CNIC and certificates.
- Upload a recent photo and scanned copies of your documents.
- Download the fee challan and pay it at a designated bank or through the payment options shown.
- Keep the paid challan and your admission form. You will need them if there is any problem later.
After admission
- Your books are posted to your address. Track dispatch through the student portal.
- Assignments are submitted online through the Aaghi LMS. See our assignment submission guide.
- Workshops (where applicable) and final exams are held at study centres in your region.
Frequently asked questions
Can I apply after 6 October?
Not for Autumn 2026 unless AIOU announces another extension. Otherwise the next intake is Spring 2027.
Is the fee refundable?
AIOU’s refund policy is set out in the prospectus. Refunds are usually limited, so choose your programme carefully.
